This week we were very busy learning all about community helpers, the letter M, and we all had "All About Me" time with Ms. Hietpas. "All About Me" time is what I call PALS testing to the kids. PALS testing is a literacy based test, that helps me to see where they are at on their letters, letter sounds, rhyming, and beginning letter sound awareness. We will continue to work through this next week as well.
This week our dramatic play area was a restaurant. We loved being able to play with the food again and wait on our friends eating at our restaurant.
In art this week we worked really hard on making our doctors. They are hanging out in the hallway right now and look great!
In our game center we were introduced to a new letter game. The game was a letter matching game. The teddy bear sheets had letters all over in and we had to correct band-aid to the bear. We pretended we were taking care of the bear like doctors and nurses do!
This week we also drew pictures about what we wanted to be when we grew up! We also practiced writing the word as well. Check out what we all wanted to be when we grew up!
Reminder About Cold Weather: Please be remembering to continue to bring snowpants, boots, hat, scarf (if wanted), and mittens everyday to school. When weather permits we still go outside.
If there would be a 2 hour delay due to weather, AM 4k would not be in session. However, if your child attends 4k extended with us, they can report at the 2 hour delay start time, which is 9:45am. If you have any questions about this, please let me know!
